Dancing with the Devil

The origin of Lucifer, The Devil, and the nature of love are profound topics that have been contemplated throughout history. The entirety of creation, encompassing all aspects of divinity, is deemed worthy of love, but what about those dark entities that haunt us?

There exists a notion, not commonly found in canonical scriptures, suggesting that true enlightenment and access to a heavenly state while still on Earth require an unconditional love for all existence. This concept posits that such love is attainable through an allegorical ‘dance’ with one’s inner demons.

It’s an intriguing idea to ponder. The metaphorical demons that are said to cast non-believers into a pit of fire could represent the personal struggles and darkness within individuals that they have denied or failed to confront.

From this perspective, the act of expelling one’s inner demons is seen as futile, akin to denying one’s own issues or projecting faults onto others, followed by a superficial absolution.

However, there is a belief that a broader understanding of this will emerge. It is said that the metaphorical ‘rainbow bridge’ to a state of grace is only traversable when every aspect of the divine, both light and shadow, is acknowledged and cherished.

This process involves a deep self-realization, where embracing one’s shadow side is a step towards self-discovery.

Avoiding this introspective journey until it becomes inevitable might lead to a less than desirable experience. The balance between light and dark is essential for achieving a harmonious state; it is an unavoidable truth.

The suggestion here is not to embrace malevolence but to bring one’s darker aspects into awareness by transforming the unconscious into the conscious. This cannot be accomplished if one is evading their inner reality.

This concept of integrating all facets of existence, including those deemed dark or negative, into one’s understanding and acceptance of life is a theme that has been explored in various philosophical and spiritual traditions.

It aligns with the idea that personal growth and enlightenment involve confronting and integrating the shadow self, as posited by Carl Jung. This process, often referred to as shadow work, suggests that by acknowledging and understanding one’s darker aspects, an individual can achieve a more complete and balanced sense of self.

Additionally, many belief systems emphasize the importance of love and acceptance as key components of spiritual development. The metaphor of the ‘rainbow bridge’ can be seen as a symbol of the journey toward a harmonious state of being that encompasses a full spectrum of experiences and emotions.

The notion that one must ‘dance with the devil’ to truly understand and appreciate all the creation could be seen as a poetic expression of the belief that facing one’s fears and challenges is essential for personal and spiritual growth. However, it has to be said that one’s own fear’s can indeed take on the form of the Devil, or Lucifer in personality and apparent power. Dancing with the devil, then, can be very hard, if all you can see is that dark mask this aspect of self is wearing so well.

However, if you look deep within yourself, you should see that this adversary, the one that stands between you and your truth, is here to help. All that is required is acceptance and understanding. Lose the fear, it’s so “last year”. Face up to and accept all of yourself today. Stop running away from yourself and start walking into the light.

This is a perspective that encourages introspection and the embracing of the full human experience as a path to wisdom and inner peace.
